A Fort Wayne-based startup focused on providing professional services for job seekers and employers is preparing for growth. Evotek Recruiting says it plans to move to a new headquarters later this summer after launching at the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center in 2017.

Financial details of the company’s expansion were not immediately disclosed. Co-founder Ed San Inocencio says Evotek initially planned to move in March before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Since then, the company has been operating remotely.

“We will sign a lease for new office space with a move-in date around August 1, 2020,” San Inocencio said in a newsletter. “This is the next stage of growth for Evotek, and we expect great things to come. We’re excited for this new chapter and appreciate everything The NIIC has done for us.”

The NIIC says Evotek has seen success in helping businesses in the engineering, middle-management, and skilled trades sectors throughout the Midwest find the talent they need. The company recently signed its first client in California.

The company credits its success to building relationships with clients and job candidates.

“Most recruiting companies aren’t taking the time to understand an organization—their structure, their growth plan, their struggles, their culture, all those things,” said co-founder Dave Shuherk. “We really embed ourselves within both the company side and the people side.”

In an email to Inside INdiana Business, San Inocencio said while the company’s headquarters will be in Fort Wayne, they are looking to further expand into other Midwest locations over the next five years, with plans to hire up to five additional employees per year.
