Fort Wayne Hotel Nearing Completion

Construction on an $18 million hotel in downtown Fort Wayne has hit a milestone. Merrillville-based developer White Lodging Services Corp. held a "topping off" ceremony Monday for the 136-room Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton, marking the completion of the building’s structural framework.
Construction on the project began last June. The hotel, located adjacent to Parkview Field and the Grand Wayne Convention Center, remains on schedule to open in July.
"The Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is going to be a tremendous addition to our downtown. We’re impressed with the positive progress we’re seeing with the construction of the new hotel," Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry said in a news release. "White Lodging is an outstanding partner and we appreciate their continued private investment in our community. Convention and tourism opportunities will be enhanced with the new hotel development."
The hotel will feature a variety of amenities, including a Burger Bar restaurant and an indoor/outdoor rooftop bar called Conner’s Rooftop, which will have views of Parkview Field.
