An Indiana bowling association is bringing 5,000 bowlers to Fort Wayne over the next 12 weeks for the 2025 Adult Open Championship Tournament.
The Indiana State USBC Bowling Association event takes place through May 11 at Pro Bowl West. About 500 athletes and attendees are expected to participate every Friday and Saturday
The Indiana association, part of the United States Bowling Congress, is hosting championship tournament in Fort Wayne for the first time since 2014. Last year, the group hosted its Youth Championship Tournament in Fort Wayne over seven weekends.
“The Indiana State USBC is thrilled to be back in Fort Wayne with our 2025 Adult Open Championship event,” said Brian Nunning, the Indiana association manager, in a statement. “Fort Wayne has many great bowlers and always supports our events with large turnouts.”
Jazmin Zavala, sports sales manager at Visit Fort Wayne, said the bowling tournament helps to showcase Fort Wayne as a desirable sports tournament destination.
“Having a long history of professional and amateur bowlers from our community greatly helps enhance the athlete experience,” Zavala said.
