Fort Wayne-based Shambaugh & Son LP has named Paul Meyers chief executive officer. He most recently served as the specialty contractor's chief operating officer and succeeds Mark Shambaugh, who has retired.

Fort Wayne, Ind. — Shambaugh & Son, L.P. has named Paul R. Meyers, Jr., P.E., Chief Executive Officer. Paul succeeds Mark Shambaugh, who has retired. In his 23 year career with the company, Paul has been responsible for many of Shambaugh & Son's milestone projects and has played a key role in managing its significant growth to an organization of nearly 2,000 employees that works with many Fortune 500 companies.

One of the largest specialty contractors in the U.S., Shambaugh & Son is a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500 leader in mechanical and electrical construction, industrial and energy infrastructure, and building services for a diverse range of businesses.

Paul Meyers, Jr., a licensed professional engineer in 42 states, has been personally responsible for managing many projects since joining Shambaugh & Son in 1992, including:

–Food Processing magazine's 2007 U.S. Plant of the Year (a $50 million salad dressing manufacturing facility for T. Marzetti Company where he was onsite engineer overseeing construction and installation of the complete facility).

–Dairy Food magazine's 2010 Dairy Plant of the Year (a $65 million dairy facility for Michigan Milk Producers Association where he was program and engineering manager).

Most recently Paul, serving as the company's Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President in charge of Shambaugh & Son's National Process Group, was responsible for company-wide operations of 12 divisions.
