Formstack Completes Another Acquisition

Fishers-based Formstack has announced its acquisition of WebMerge, a document automation and generation company also based in the Hamilton County city. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed, however all WebMerge employees are being retained and joining the Formstack team.
Formstack says the acquisition will allow it to further enhance its document automation product, Formstack Documents. The company says WebMerge will stay as a stand-alone product and continue to support customers who use other online form providers.
"From the early days of WebMerge, we have worked closely to develop powerful integrations between our platforms that allow users to not only capture information but make it actionable," Chris Byers, chief executive officer of Formstack, said in a news release. "This next step in our relationship will enable us to incorporate document creation and management as a core element of Formstack’s DNA."
WebMerge was founded in 2011 and serves more than 3,000 customers in 80 countries.
The acquisition is the fourth for Formstack in less than two years. The company acquired Bedrock Data in February, Toronto-based QuickTapSurvey in December, and Fast Forms, also based in Toronto, in October 2017.
