A former two-term state senator and northwest Indiana grocery store owner has died. Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report William Costas, father of current Valparaiso Mayor Jon Costas, died Tuesday. He was 84. William Costas started Costas Foods in 1972. He eventually sold the Valpo, Chesterton and South Haven locations in 1998.
