A prominent health care executive is taking a leadership role at Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY). Former Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health Chief Executive Officer Ora Pescovitz will join Lilly in October as a senior vice president. Pescovitz most recently served as chief executive officer of the University of Michigan Health System. She was in that role since 2009. She also served as the executive associate dean for research affairs at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Lilly says she will work on several medical policy issues, including relationships with health care professionals, expanded access of Lilly medicines and patient support programs.
