The Jay County Development Corp. has named Travis Richards executive director. Richards previously served as plant manager for Ohio-based Fort Recovery Industries Inc.’s casting plant in Portland.

"I am excited about this new chapter for both the Jay County Development Corp. and myself. The board and I share a commitment to our community that, coupled with the new strategic plan, will allow us to positively impact growth and development in the country," Richards said in a news release issued by President Duane Sautbine.

The Trine University graduate is a lifelong resident of Jay County. Richards succeeds Bill Bradley, who left the JCDC earlier this year to become chief executive officer of the LaGrange County Economic Development Corp.

Richards’ first day will be November 19.
