Developers are undergoing work to convert the former jail and courts complex into 15 luxury condominiums. The Star Press in Muncie reports development plans for the $3.4 million Justice Parking and Condominiums project also include additional parking for city hall employees.

Dave Jennings and his sons, Matt and Michael, are leading the development project. The publication reports the trio previously converted the First Christian Church into an event center, North Church Venue, after purchasing the building in 2018.

According to the developer, seven of the 15 condos have already been sold.

The publication reports the condos range in size from 1,500 to 4,000 square feet and each will feature a different floorplan. Each residence will include a garden area and indoor parking.

The city of Muncie is providing a $600,000 grant from Economic Development Income Tax money to support construction.

The Star Press reports the estimated cost of the condos is about $225,000.
