Former First Lady, Daughters to Speak at Purdue

Former First Lady Laura Bush and her daughters, Barbara Pierce Bush and Jenna Bush Hager, are scheduled to speak at Purdue University next fall. The event, titled “Women in the White House and Beyond,” is part of the university’s Sears Lecture Series. 

The lecture is set to take place October 18, 2018 at the Elliott Hall of Music. Purdue says it will announce information on ticket availability at the beginning of the fall 2018 semester.

The College of Liberal Arts and Department of History are presenting the event. The Sears Lecture Series was created by Louis Martin Sears, who served as a faculty member at the university from 1920 to 1956, specializing in diplomatic history and biography.
