Former DePauw President, First Lady Create Fund The Campaign for DePauw launched in October 2014.

Former DePauw president Robert Bottoms and former first lady Gwen Bottoms have established a fund to support student international study. The university says the donation will focus on minority students wishing to study abroad who demonstrate financial need.

The Robert G. and Gwendolyn V. Bottoms Endowment for International Study is available to students who register for study-abroad for a semester in the summer, May term or winter term.

“Gwen and I remain deeply committed to the people and the mission of DePauw,” Bottoms said in a news release. “We believe international study is an increasingly important part of the DePauw experience in preparing students for global citizenship. We are pleased to make a gift to make these experiences possible for current and future generations of students.”
