Luke Messer, a former U.S. Congressman from Indiana’s sixth district, has joined Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting as a principal in Washington, D.C. Messer will lead the firm’s bipartisan federal advocacy team with FaegreBD Principal Ted Bristol.

Messer will advise businesses and others nationwide on federal regulatory and policy developments in his new role.

“I am excited to join a major firm with a strong presence in Washington, D.C. and nationwide,” Messer said in a news release. “I look forward to working with my new colleagues to help clients navigate the complex maze of federal policy decisions in Washington.”

Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting, Messer served from 2013-19 as the U.S. Congressman from Indiana’s Sixth Congressional District. While there, he was the fifth highest ranking Republican member of the House and submitted legislation focused on banking, taxation, immigration, federal deregulation, foreign affairs and education issues.
