Forbes names best employers by state

Forbes has released its annual list of America’s Best Employers by State. Of the top 75 employers in Indiana named to the list, 28 have their headquarters in the Hoosier State.

The remainder includes national companies with a presence in Indiana, such as automakers, retail stores and food chains.

The company surveyed 70,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees.

The top Indiana-based companies in order of in-state ranking, excluding national affiliations:

  • Community Health Network (3)
  • Roche Holding (4)
  • Subaru of Indiana Automotive (6)
  • Community Healthcare System (10)
  • Eli Lilly & Co. (11)
  • Monroe County Community Schools (12)
  • Cummins Inc. (15)
  • Indiana University (19)
  • Eskenazi Health (20)

The publisher partnered with market research company Statista to compile the list that is divided into 51 rankings—one for each of the 50 states, plus the District of Columbia.
