The span between Bloomington and Crane is set to open to traffic by year’s end.
INDOT released the video at the I-69 Regional Summit this week in Bloomington. This section of the expansion covers 27 miles. The first three sections were opened at the end of 2012 and state leaders consider the 142-mile corridor between Evansville and Indianapolis a "key component to the future economic vitality of southwestern Indiana."
Section 5, which connects Bloomington to Martinsville on the existing State Road 37 is currently under construction.
