The regional incubator and advanced stage business center, which was formed in 2005, has surpassed $10 million in total loans closed.
Flagship says it has closed on 375 loans throughout central Indiana since 2010, with more than 200 funding women-, minority- and veteran-owned businesses. The organization says 275 loans were given to low-to-medium-income business owners.
"This milestone represents tireless effort from our borrowers, banking partners and staff," said Dirk Webb, business development manager for Flagship. "We love being able to provide funding to help create jobs throughout the state. Everyone wins."
The FEC is a public-private partnership that includes Anderson University as well as the city of Anderson, state of Indiana and other agencies. The organization’s website says it has helped create nearly 2,000 jobs since it was founded.
