Five Point Kennels Expands in Indy Five Points Kennels added 12

Indianapolis-based Five Points Kennels Inc. has completed a more than $2 million expansion. The pet boarding, training and grooming provider says it has room for more animals and plans to add up to a dozen jobs as a result of the project.

The company added 12,000 square feet of space to its facility, doubling its footprint on the southeast side of Indianapolis. Five Points says it now has room for 150 dogs and 60 cats over nights and spots for more than 50 dogs in daycare and 25 for grooming. The project also involved a lobby and prep kitchen.

Owners Ann and Kevin Stickford used a loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration 504 program to finance the construction and new equipment. The Stickfords also used SBA 504 financing when they launched Five Points Kennels in 2003.

Since 1983, the Indiana Statewide CDC says it has provided more than $515 million in loans to over 1,200 Indiana companies, helping to create or save more than 15,000 jobs.
