News Release

Fort Wayne, Ind. — From July 10-12, the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club will host its 38th Annual National Show and Meeting at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne.

An estimated 700 fishing lure enthusiasts from across the United States and Canada will participate in exhibitions, demonstrations and meetings for three days, while viewing the world’s largest collection of collectible fishing equipment. The event will generate an estimated $300,000 in economic impact.

During the show, collectors will have the opportunity to buy, sell, or trade items from more 500 tables of fishing equipment that will be setup inside the main exhibition hall of the Grand Wayne Center. Some items date back to the early 1900s.

Entry to the show is by membership only, but non-members will have an opportunity to join the NFLCC at the door.

The national show and meeting returns to Fort Wayne for the first time since 2012 and second time in history. Efforts to bring back the event were led by NFLCC committee members David Saalfrank and Bob King, with the assistance from the Grand Wayne Convention Center and Visit Fort Wayne.
