A Westfield resident with nearly 30 years of banking experience has been named the commercial banking regional market president in Indianapolis for Cincinnati-based First Financial Bank.
Kirk Reis is charged with growing the lender’s relationships with commercial and industrial clients in the central Indiana region while overseeing the local commercial team, First Financial said.
“Kirk has been a commercial banker in the Indianapolis area for over 20 years and brings a proven track record of working with this community as a trusted advisor, so I’m excited about what’s to come with him joining our team,” Matt Reckman, chief commercial banking officer for First Financial, said in a news release.
Reis most recently served as a senior vice president of corporate banking with Old National Bank, according to his LinkedIn profile. From May 2014 to July 2018 he served as a vice president of commercial banking for First Financial. Other lenders in which he held executive positions include Lake City Bank, BMO Bank and Fifth Third Bank.
In his new role at First Financial, Reis will lead a team that provides a host of services, including commercial credit and lending, treasury management, trade finance, risk management and employee financial wellness programs.
Reis earned a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Colorado Denver and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder. In Westfield, he coaches high school girl’s lacrosse and serves on the board of directors for the Downtown Westfield Association.
First Financial Bank, a subsidiary of Cincinnati-based First Financial Bancorp., operates more than 120 banking locations in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois.
