Firefighters Continue to Bring Big Impact
One of the state’s largest annual conventions is underway in downtown Indianapolis. Visit Indy says the annual FDIC International, a global firefighters conference, is expected to attract 32,500 attendees from around the world and have an economic impact of $35 million.
The conference, which is holding its opening ceremonies Wednesday, is celebrating its 80th year and has events, displays and demonstrations throughout the week at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.
FDIC International runs seven days and on-site registration opened Sunday. Events throughout the week include workshops, classroom sessions, a firefighter combat challenge, Valor Fun Run, 9/11 Stair Climb and the Firefighter Throw Down Competition. You can connect to more by clicking here.
