The organization says the partnership will provide hands-on career exploration to give kids and teens a behind-the-scenes look at a potential first job.
The Boys & Girls Club says members in select markets will participate in The Finish Line’s "One Step Ahead" program, in which kids will learn about interviewing, sales, customer service, and other workforce-related skills.
"Partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America provides our Finish Line team a chance to impact youth in their communities," said Marty Posch, president of the Finish Line Youth Foundation. "Our program, One Step Ahead, provides employees with skill based volunteering while kids gain hands on experience of what it takes to enter the workforce and maintain employment.”
Additionally, The Finish Line says its in-store and online fundraising campaign will support a select number of Boys & Girls Clubs, along with national career readiness initiatives. You can learn more about the partnership by clicking here.
