Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP has named Fernando Diaz an associate attorney. He previously served as a law clerk at the firm. He focuses his practice in a variety of areas including environmental litigation, complex litigation, insurance coverage, product liability, and class action litigation. Diaz has also worked with businesses and individuals regarding environmental regulatory matters and business economic loss claims. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Florida and his J.D., cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law. During his time in law school, Diaz interned for Judge Mary M. Rowland at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He also was a production editor for the Journal of Law, Technology & Policy. Prior to attending law school, he was the business development manager at a mass-tort litigation firm where he worked closely with businesses, chambers of commerce, and forensic accountants to recover lost profits relating to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill of 2010.
