An Indianapolis-based social media analytics firm is planning to expand. Fizziology, whose clients are in the entertainment, retail and travel industries, says it will add 55 jobs by 2020 as part of a $555,000 investment. The company is the 2017 Mira Tech Service of the Year Award winner and says the expansion will allow it to grow into additional verticals like fashion and sports. During an interview in February on Inside INdiana Business Television, Co-Chief Executive Officers Jen Handley and Ben Carlson discussed Fizziology’s client portfolio, which includes SONY, Fox, Warner Brothers and Kohl’s.
It currently employs 22 full-timers and plans to grow its space in The Hatch, a coworking space in the city’s Broad Ripple District. The new positions include a vice president of finance, international accounts and social media analysts and software-as-a-service sales specialists. The company says the new positions will pay an average salary that will be 50 percent higher than the state average.
In additional to the Indy office, Fizziology has a presence in Los Angeles, Nashville and other cities throughout the world. Handley says "our decision to keep the Fizziology headquarters in Indianapolis has been instrumental in our success. The company has been offered up to $688,000 from the Indiana Economic Development Corp in conditional tax credits and training grants.
