Lagrange-based Farmers State Bank has selected Joe Urbanski to serve as president. Urbanski, who has served as chief financial officer since 2007, will begin his new role June 30.

Urbanski has also been designated successor to the bank’s chief executive officer. He will take over for Joseph Pierce, who is preparing to retire in 2017.

In addition to serving as chief financial officer, Urbanski has also served as executive vice president since 2013. Urbanski is also a member of the boards of directors for the LaGrange County Economic Development Corp. and the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana.
