Valparaiso-based Family Express Corp. has announced plans to add more locations in central Indiana. The convenience store chain says it is investing about $12 million for three stores in Carmel, Zionsville, and Whitestown, creating nearly 40 full-time jobs.
Construction on the new locations is expected to begin next spring. Family Express says the new, 5,500-square-foot stores will have a strong emphasis on the company’s Cravin’s To Order restaurants and will also feature a Pet Wash.
The new central Indiana stores will follow what the company calls its most ambitious development schedule in 2018, which included five new locations, two of which are currently under construction in Lowell and Griffith. Family Express currently operates more than 70 convenience stores and gas stations, most of which are located in northwest Indiana.
The only current locations in central Indiana include Avon, Frankfort, and Lebanon.
