The Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance has hired the former longtime chief executive officer of the Wabash Chamber of Commerce. Kimberly Pinkerton, who retired from her previous role in Wabash County in 2016, will serve as manager of the Kokomo Chamber. She spent 18 years with the Wabash Chamber, including 13 as CEO, and was named the Indiana Chamber Executives Association’s Chamber Executive of the Year in 2011.

The Huntington University graduate will focus on chamber growth, membership engagement, programming and development initiatives through her new position. "I think there’s so much opportunity here in Howard County. You’re already doing great things here, and I’m excited for the opportunity to continue building those community partnerships that are fueling Kokomo’s growth momentum."

Alliance CEO Charlie Sparks says "we’re looking forward to the evolvement of the Chamber under Kim’s solid leadership. We are also excited to add her knowledge and experience to enhance the Alliance’s workforce development efforts."

The Greater Kokomo Chamber of Commerce, which is a division of the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance, has more than 620 members.
