More Execs Out at American Senior Communities

The company says as a result of federal and internal investigations, it has fired Chief Operating Officer Dan Benson and Chief Financial Officer Roger Werner has resigned. The company fired Chief Executive Officer James Burkhart September 18.
ASC says it has launched an active search to fill the positions.
In a statement, American Senior Communities said:
“ASC’s internal investigation confirmed that the federal investigation does not in any way involve the care provided to residents of any facility serviced by ASC.

The FBI has not commented on the circumstances surrounding the raids.
