Two major events that begin today will provide a big boost to the central Indiana economy. Visit Indy says a District Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses and the 10-day Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration are expected to attract a total of more than 120,000 participants to Indianapolis. The Jehovah's Witness gathering is one of several regional events throughout the U.S. this summer.

An ecumenical service Thursday kicks off the IBE events, which also include a three-day business conference and a job fair.
