A proposal to create protected bike lanes and improve streets in an Evansville neighborhood will face an important vote Tuesday. The redevelopment commission will consider approval of the North Main Streetscape plan. November 14, 2014

Post From Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke's Facebook Page

The Evansville Redevelopment Commission will consider a resolution Tuesday, Nov. 18, approving the North Main Streetscape concept, clearing the way for the project to move forward with development of construction documents. The issue will go before the Evansville City Council in early 2015 for approval of funding. Thursday evening, urban planning consultant Kevin Osburn gave a presentation on the North Main Steetscape Project at the Jacobsville Area Community Corp. meeting. Osburn, a principal with Rundell Ernstberger Associates, LLC in Indianapolis, spoke about the importance of protected bike lanes.
