Evansville Regional Economic Partnership promotes two
The Evansville Regional Economic Partnership is making changes to its operational structure and expanding the responsibilities of two of its leaders. The organization is promoting Audrie Burkett to the expanded role of chief operations officer and executive vice president, and Jenna Richardt to chief regional economic development officer and senior vice president.
E-REP says the organizational updates are intended to further align its team with its mission. The organization says Burkett and Richardt have been key leaders in driving the region’s $50 million Regional Economic Development + Acceleration Initiative projects.
“I have been thrilled with the energy and success of our team since E-REP formed through a strategic partnership in 2021,” said Tara Barney, CEO of E-REP. “Both Audrie and Jenna have been instrumental in not only the complex details of bringing together multiple organizations but also in leading the future strategic vision. I am confident in both Audrie and Jenna’s abilities to move the Evansville Region forward and excited to see the continued evolution through their leadership.”
In her expanded role, Burkett will continue to oversee the organization’s daily operations and working to better align priorities. Burkett joined E-REP in 2015, overseeing the internal alignment of the organizations that now comprise E-REP. Additionally, the organization says Burkett provided administrative oversight over major initiatives, including the Southwest Indiana’s Regional Cities Initiative and championing public policy work to increase internet access in rural areas.
E-REP says Richardt, who joined the organization in 2021, will serve as the go-to resource for regional economic development and quality of place in her new role. Richardt previously served as executive director of the Posey County Economic Development Partnership, where she helped the county become a broadband-ready community, and worked on site readiness grants and secured private property land options for development.
