The Metropolitan Evansville Transit System has expanded its bus service. The changes, which were recommended as part of the METS Comprehensive Operational Analysis in 2015, include new fares, Sunday service and expanded night service on select routes.
As part of the change, bus fares for all passengers will decrease from $1 to $0.75 per ride for adults, $0.75 to $0.50 per ride for students, and $0.50 to $0.35 per ride for the elderly and disabled, while mobility fares will drop from $2 to $1.50 per ride. Bus transfers will also be eliminated.
The new Sunday bus service will run on five routes from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. beginning this Sunday. You can view which routes will be affected on Sundays and on the expanded night service by clicking here.
