ESPN Continues USA Football Support

ESPN has donated $250,000 to Indianapolis-based USA Football to advance football safety efforts. The sports network will underwrite participation in the Heads Up Football program for underserved youth and high school football programs in each NFL market.
USA Football is the sport’s national governing body and is recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee. To date, ESPN has provided more than $400,000 to the organization to boost its education and training efforts for coaches, parents and players.
ESPN’s donation also helped create a 144-page coaching resource guide being provided to nearly 15,000 high schools. It includes material on the teaching of fundamentals as well as program development and player safety. The organization has also created a co-branded webpage with educational videos. The funding is additionally supporting high school football regional leadership summits.
