Evansville-based sporting goods and recreational equipment manufacturer Escalade Inc. has selected Armin Boehm to serve as its next president and CEO.
The appointment is part of a planned succession effort following current CEO Walter Glazer’s retirement announcement last summer.
Boehm most recently served as chief commercial officer for Gibson Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee. He previously held leadership roles at sporting goods companies such as Amer Sports, Puma and Adidas.
As we look ahead, we will build upon our strong foundation, embrace innovation, and enhance our consumer-centric approach to create products that bring people together,” Boehm said in a news release. “I look forward to working with the exceptional teams at Escalade to drive sustainable growth and superior total shareholder returns while shaping the future of the sporting goods industry.”
Glazer said he will continue to serve as chairman of Escalade’s board of directors. In the release, Glazer called Boehm a “visionary leader” with a deep understanding of the sporting goods industry.
“His extensive global experience, combined with his collaborative and dynamic approach, makes him the ideal CEO to guide Escalade into its next chapter of growth and innovation,” Glazer said. “His strategic mindset, respect for our company’s heritage, and passion for delivering exceptional consumer experiences position him well for success.”
Boehm will begin his new role on April 1.
