The sports and outdoor recreation equipment manufacturer has announced the acquisition of Wisconsin-based Triumph Sports USA Inc. The nearly 90-year-old company has announced several additions in the last two years and in mid-2014, detailed the sale of its information security business and print finishing segment. During an interview last year on Inside INdiana Business, then-President Bob Keller said Escalade’s growth is "almost unlimited" in the U.S. He added there are even more opportunities abroad.
Financial terms of the Triumph deal were not disclosed. The company develops indoor and outdoor equipment, including what Escalade calls "exciting new opportunities with popular-priced tailgating and lawn games."
Escalade owns the popular Goalrilla brand and in October announced the acquisition of another basketball hoop manufacturer, Goalsetter Systems Inc. from Co-Line Manufacturing in Iowa.
In July, Escalade detailed its purchase of Arizona-based Onyx, a company that makes pickleball equipment, which came a year after adding the Pickleball Now brand to its portfolio.
The company’s says its strategy includes focusing on a greater presence in established and emerging sports and outdoor recreational activities. Triumph has table tennis, darting, billiard and arcade gaming lines.
Escalade is currently lead by David Fetherman, who was named chief executive officer and president in early December, following the resignation of Bob Keller.
