ERAPSCO Lands Military Contract

Subscribe NowThe joint venture between Columbia City-based Ultra Electronics Holdings plc and Illinois-based Sparton Corp. (NYSE: SPA) has been awarded nearly $54 million in U.S. Navy subcontracts. The deal requires ERAPSCO Inc. to manufacture sonobuoys for the Navy.
Production of the sonobuoys will take place at Ultra Electronics USSI’s facility in Columbia City and Sparton’s facility in De Leon Springs, Florida. The work is expected to be completed by September 2017.

"This contract is a reflection of the increased focus on anti-submarine warfare and the US Navy’s commitment to providing key technology for this important mission,"
ERAPSCO will provide a $26.1 million production subcontract to Ultra Electronics USSI and a $27.6 million production subcontract to Sparton De Leon Springs LLC to complete the work.
