Environmental Firm Expands Drilling Reach
A Westfield-based environmental contracting firm is expanding into another state. Environmental Field Services Inc. has announced plans to add drilling personnel and equipment in Huntsville, Alabama.

Westfield, Ind. — Environmental Field Services, Inc. (EFS), a diverse environmental contracting firm with corporate headquarters in Westfield, Indiana, is excited to announce the expansion of the company’s probing and drilling capabilities through new drilling personnel and equipment in Huntsville, Alabama. This new drilling presence in Alabama will further expand the company’s ability to meet the needs of clients throughout the United States.
Joe Tillman, who is a Certified Well Driller (CWD), comes to EFS with over 16 years of experience providing environmental/geotechnical drilling services and will be responsible for operating drilling equipment. Tillman has completed the National Groundwater Association exams in General Knowledge, Air Rotary, and Hollow Stem Auger and in May 2010 he received the Public Service Group Achievement Award from NASA for serving on the Michoud Remediation Team in New Orleans, Louisiana. Tillman has served as lead driller and supervisor on many Government facilities such as Fort Drum, Redstone Arsenal, Columbus Air Force Base, Anniston Army Depot, and Maxwell Air Force Base and he is currently licensed to drill in Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Tillman holds many certifications such as the 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER, 8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher, 8 Hour OSHA Supervisor, and 10 Hour OSHA Construction Outreach, as well as has completed numerous continuing education courses. Tillman has served as a Hazardous Materials first responder and served on an Emergency Response Team.
