The new owner of a well-known Hancock County drive-in is planning to relaunch it as a new model for locally-sourced restaurants. The Frosty Mug in Greenfield was recently purchased at a sheriff's auction by Tyner Pond Farm Chief Executive Officer Chris Baggott, who is also a co-founder of Indianapolis-based ExactTarget and Husk LLC in Greenfield. Husk produces and distributes Indiana-grown produce year-round. The new restaurant hopes to bring locally-sourced burgers and pulled pork sandwiches from “farm to curb.” He says the announcement of the new restaurant at the old location has “really struck a nerve” in the community.

Baggott believes the Frosty Mug name will be changed to something that includes Tyner Pond Farm.

He says the food industry as a whole is full of people who think the same way, so it leaves the door wide open for those that can take advantage of innovation.

Tyner Pond Farm was started in 2010 and produces pasture-raised cattle, chickens and pigs.
