EMP Acquires Lafayette Company

Westfield-based EMP Tech Group has acquired eSolutions in Lafayette. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however the company says the eSolutions office and employees will operate under the EMP brand.

EMP specializes in barcode, RFID, and Automated Data Capture systems, mainly in warehouse and factory settings. President Dave Mattingly says the acquisition complements the company’s existing sales and technical service teams.

"As a combined company, we now have even more products and capabilities to best serve our customers,"s aid Mattingly. "This acquisition will create new opportunities for our existing team members and will help us continue our growth, which will result in new hires." 

EMP says the acquisition adds six eSolutions employees to its team of 19. The new employees will remain in the Lafayette office. The combined company will serve more than 2,000 customers throughout North America.
