Emmis Communications has hired James Conner as vice president of sales for the Indianapolis market. He has served as general sales manager of the Indianapolis cluster and Network Indiana for nearly four years, and served as general manager of Emmis’ former Terre Haute cluster.

“We are fortunate to have James’ expertise as a GM with a track record of maintaining positive cash flow and delivering creative client solutions,” said Emmis Indianapolis Market President Taja Graham. “James’ focus on details has helped us in the restructuring of our sales force and optimizing of our inventory, which has resulted in higher market share.”

Conner will also retain the title of Network Indiana general manager.
