News Release

Indianapolis, Ind. — Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann announced the appointment of Erik Scheub as the Public Relations Director and Small Business Ombudsman for the Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (OSBE). In this role, he will gather information through ongoing interaction with the small businesses throughout the state and will help communicate updates about State programs and policies to those businesses. He will also promote and raise awareness of the small business successes.

Lt. Governor Ellspermann noted, “We know that the largest number of private sector jobs are created and maintained by small and entrepreneurial businesses in all parts of Indiana. Governor Pence and I are committed to supporting small businesses by creating an economic and regulatory environment where they can grow and prosper. “By adding this Ombudsman, our Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship will enhance its service to and communication with this vital segment of our economy, ensuring Indiana continues to be ‘the state that works’ for entrepreneurs.”

Prior to joining State government, Scheub was a communications director for a non-profit organization where he developed regional and statewide public relations initiatives and also worked with community centers on policies and procedures that affected their agencies.

Scheub is from Portage, IN and graduated from University of Southern Indiana.
