Ivy Tech Community College President Sue Ellspermann has joined the advisory board of WGU Indiana. Ellspermann, who says Ivy Tech and WGU "share a mission," will serve a two-year term on the board.
WGU and Ivy Tech have a partnership offering Ivy Tech graduates transferring to WGU a 5 percent tuition discount for four academic terms. The schools say more than 900 Ivy Tech graduates have transferred to WGU Indiana to earn their bachelor’s degrees.
Ivy Tech and WGU are also working together with several other schools to offer options to displaced ITT Tech students. WGU says it will waive the school’s $65 application fee and first-term resource fee of $145 for eligible students. Ivy Tech is hosting a series of events for former ITT Tech students to discuss possible next steps for those students.
