The president of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce says the 7th Annual Elkhart RV Open House, which is taking place this week, offers a “concentrated look” at the industry's community impact. Kyle Hannon says the event allows the city to show off for the 4,000 professionals expected to attend. He tells Inside INdiana Business adjustments made by companies during and after the recession have increased Elkhart County's national share of RV manufacturing from 70 percent to nearly 85 percent. The show is designed for dealers and has been dubbed by some as “Elkhart's Super Bowl.”

Hannon says it is in some ways, but only showcase one corners of the sector.

He says area restaurants and entertainment are on display and adds that companies are often in competition to put their best foot forward for clients.
