Elkhart Manufacturer Continues Growth in Italy

Subscribe NowElkhart-based Lippert Components Inc. has acquired another Italian recreational vehicle components manufacturer. The deal for Metallarte S.r.l. and its subsidiary, RV Doors S.r.l., is estimated at nearly $17 million. It marks the third Italian acquisition for LCI in 13 months.
In February, Lippert acquired Italy-based Sessa Klein S.p.A. for $8.5 million and a year ago, Project 2000 of Italy.
Metallarte and RV Doors supply entry, compartment and driver-side doors to the European caravan market. Pre-acquisition, the consolidated sales of the acquired business last year reached some $12 million.
"Metallarte is a wonderful and quickly growing European caravan components supplier. We believe this transaction further accelerates the opportunities to expand LCI’s product offerings for the European RV market. "The European RV market produces 170,000 units annually and we look to expand our presence as a key supplier to this market."
LCI Industries has more than 50 manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the U.S., Canada and Italy.
