Two manufacturers are looking to expand in Elkhart. The Elkhart Truth reports Ohio-based Aluminum Line Products Co. and Indratech Performance Fiber Systems, headquartered in Michigan, are seeking tax abatement on plans that could create more than two dozen jobs. Indratech makes bedding and seating materials and plans to invest around $3 million into a new facility in the city.

Aluminum Lines' nearly $750,000 planned investment would lead to 11 new positions that would pay an average of $17 per hour.

The Truth reports the council has approved economic revitalization area requests Monday for the companies.
