Elevate Ventures to Launch ‘Kinetic’

Indianapolis-based Elevate Ventures will debut a two-day conference in May that focuses on Indiana and its high-growth businesses. Kinetic, which will take place May 1-2 in Indy, aims to spur collaboration among companies, higher education institutions and community leaders from throughout the state, as well as Midwest investors.

Elevate Ventures says the audience at the conference will mostly be comprised of startup and scale-up companies in Indiana, with a focus on those within Elevate’s portfolio, as well as entrepreneurs, investors, regional economic development partners, and others. The conference will feature 16 informational sessions, panel and keynote speakers, investor one-on-ones and an expo of more than 80 local companies.

“Angel and venture capital is crucial as Indiana truly begins to accelerate startups and early-stage companies throughout our state," said Chris LaMothe, chief executive officer of Elevate Ventures. "It can produce results that grow and spread to impact entire communities and nourish entrepreneurial ecosystems. With the advent of our first portfolio conference, Elevate Ventures is building on its statewide momentum to develop Indiana’s capacity to empower current and future entrepreneurs."

Some of the speakers have already been announced. They include Springbuk co-founder Phil Daniels, Sigstr CEO Bryan Wade and Torchlite Founding Partner and CEO Susan Marshall.
