Elevate Ventures Invests in Air Carrier Startup

Elevate Ventures has invested $20,000 in a startup firm hoping to connect air travelers with private aircraft operators. Indianapolis-based SimpleSortie aims to enable customers to book private aircraft flights at a lower cost by booking directly with operators.

“SimpleSortie wants to change the way we see private aviation through more choices and better logistics. The company is bringing a better customer experience through its simple to use platform,” said Elevate Ventures Entrepreneuer-In-Residence Dan Meek.

SimpleSortie Founder Ryan Srogi says the funds will be used to create a sellable product, to expand research and marketing and to prepare for future investment. Srogi says he learned there was room for improvement when he flew as a corporate pilot.

“The Community Ideation Fund is a key first step to SimpleSortie’s growth. It validates the concept and provides runway for initial stages,” said Srogi.

The shock factor lies in the magnitude of this issue – the magnitude of despair, isolation, and uncertainty that thousands of our city's youth grapple with daily....
