The company says the 20-acre operation features "industry-defining software and equipment."
Michigan-based Sunfield Engineering is the project designer.
Egg Innovations produces free-range and pasture-raised eggs. The company says it was the first in the nation to be able to use the "Certified Humane Raised and Handled" mark from Virginia-based Humane Farm Animal Care.
It launched its Blue Sky Family Farms brand for customers in the East Coast in 2013, shortly after going completely free-range. Egg Innovations has operations in Indiana, Wisconsin and Kentucky.
In July, the company reopened a Pierceton egg facility that was nearly leveled by a fire and last June, Egg Innovations opened an organic egg facility in Kentucky that provides all of the pasture-raised organic and some of the free-range organic eggs for the Blue Sky Family Farms brand.
The open house is set for October 28. To RSVP, please contact jhornbostel@egginnovations.com or (260) 215-8020.
