Officials in northeast Indiana have cut the ribbon on the expansion of fiber optic services to the Dunkirk Industrial Park. Portland-based Community Fiber Solutions says the $60,000 project will bring faster, more reliable Internet connectivity, which will help attract new businesses.
The project was a public-private partnership partially funded by a grant from the Dunkirk Industrial Development Corp., in conjunction with the Jay County Development Corp. The ribbon was cut by Dunkirk Mayor Gene Ritter.
"We’re very excited that Community Fiber Solutions is providing their fiber optic services here," Ritter said in a news release. "This kind of connectivity is important to keep our existing businesses here and to attract new ones."
