News Release

PLAINFIELD, Ind. – Duke Energy has named Lisa Brones Huber as government and community relations manager for Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Harrison and Washington counties in southern Indiana.

Huber was most recently the owner of a public relations consulting firm in Louisville, Ky., providing strategic communications planning and execution for corporate and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to that, she served for seven years as an attorney and director of client relations at one of Louisville’s largest law firms, Middleton Reutlinger.

She has also earned recognition for her work as a television news reporter and anchor at WHAS-TV, Louisville.

“Lisa’s background in community relations, along with a strong network of contacts in southern Indiana, make her ideally suited for her new role,” said Marvin Blade, Duke Energy Indiana vice president for community relations and economic development.

Huber received her bachelor’s degree in journalism and English from the University of Iowa, where she subsequently earned her juris doctor degree with distinction from the university’s college of law.

Duke Energy Indiana’s operations provide about 7,500 megawatts of owned electric capacity to approximately 800,000 customers in a 23,000-square-mile service area, making it the state’s largest electric supplier. More information about the company is available at: www.duke-energy.com.
