Drug Czar, FSSA Secretary to Announce New Partnership McClelland is coming out of retirement to take on the newly-created position.

Officials will Thursday afternoon announce an initiative designed to help in the fight against the drug epidemic gripping the state. The announcement will include a demonstration of a technology tool for people seeking treatment for substance use disorder.

Indiana Executive Director for Drug Prevention, Treatment and Enforcement Jim McClelland and Family and Social Services Administration Secretary Jennifer Walthall will detail the partnership with OpenBeds and Indiana 2-1-1. According to its website, OpenBeds is a software platform that helps "government health agencies increase access to behavioral health care and decrease costs."

McClelland and Walthall will join technology partners and treatment professionals for the announcement, which is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Indiana Statehouse. You can view a live stream of the announcement by clicking here.
