Our partners at 21 Alive WPTA in Fort Wayne report the current owners of the Huntington Drive-In Theatre want to retire and hope the buyer will keep the attraction operating. The station reports the 17-acre site will be broken down into three plots. The property has been on the market since July, but has not attracted any substantial offers.
Auction organizers say the owners could veto any offer, but will most likely sell to the highest bidder regardless of what the intent is.
The two-screen theater includes projection and concession stand facilities.
